John Learmonth is Managing Director of Deanbridge International, publishers of The European Family Investment Company Report. The Report is written by John Learmonth with Professor Heinrich Liechtenstein and produced in association with IESE Business School.
Prior to this he founded Campden Publishing, which organised the first conference in Europe for family offices and then built a range of conferences and information sources for family businesses, FICs, significant private investors and their advisors in Europe, the Middle East and in Asia.
He has worked closely with the Family Business Network (FBN), GEEF, many individual country family business associations and served on the launch Advisory Council of the UK Institute for Family Business (IFB). John sold Campden in the 2000s and engaged in various projects – participating in turnarounds, advising a merchant bank and a family-owned investment holding company – before founding Deanbridge to focus on his work with Family Investment Companies/FICs.
He lives in London, holds dual UK/Irish citizenship and is a graduate of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge.
